Beverly Kaposiao, a talented, young fashion entreprener, exhibits her fashion designs @ the National Art Gallery of Namibia from the 21-27 of November 2006. The fashion items on display are a collection of all her designs including the musical label AB-collection, which is inspired by African Boy, a local musician.
“Beverly’s designs are inspired by Namibia’s multi-cultural music. She uses fabric paint, bright colours and recyled fabric. Her designs are mixture of retro, vintage classy and street wear”.
She recently finished her fashion design diploma, at Damelin institute in Cape Town. Her ambition in fashion and business has won her a JCC Sam Nujoma Entrepreneurs awards in 2003, the Adult Progress Fashion certificate, from the College of the Arts Windhoek in 2003, opened a coffee shop for a high school last year and received a quote to make uniforms for a choir in 2002.
