Helga Kohl: San Family, 1998 Photographic Print on Paper

Helga Khol is professional photographer with a fellowship in fine art and architecture from Professional Photographer of Southern Africa. Born in Poland and lived in West Germany before she came to Namibia in 1970. Khol is well known for analogue photograph, well known for documenting the historical abandoned diamond town of Kolmanskop near Lüderitz, Namibia. Kohl’s works form both a significant social and historical document, as well as a reflection of a technically exceptional understanding of photography
